Hidden behind Don Muang Airport, you find the district of Sai Mai. It is purely a residential area and can boast of being the highest populated district of all the 50 districts that Bangkok is comprised of. Sai Mai district suddenly grew in population, mainly to cater to the industries that grew up around the airport, when it was commercialised from being a military airport in 1924.

For the odd day out, the Royal Thai Air Force Museum and Safari World are well known landmarks in the area.
